| The
Ben Nevis Inn is located in Glen Nevis, which is one of the most
beautiful areas in all of Scotland. The Inn sits at the very foot
of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain at 4418 feet (1344m). Those
who have seen the popular films of Braveheart, Rob Roy and Highlander
will be familiar with Glen Nevis, since scenes from each of these
films were shot here, some only a mile from the Ben Nevis Inn itself.

Glen Nevis is within
walking distance of the centre of Fort William, which offers all
the facilities required by the backpacking traveller, from cafes,
pubs and restaurants, to shops catering for all needs, ranging from
a selection of excellent sports and mountaineering equipment specialists
to the more mundane but necessary supermarkets and newsagents. Fort
William also boasts a well-equipped and recently refurbished leisure
centre, open seven days a week, including swimming pool, sauna,
gym, climbing wall and squash courts. When the weather is bad, there
is always somewhere to go where you can get out of the rain!
